My Story

Growing up I put in serious time doing manual labor in my mother’s sprawling gardens, she always had a vase of blooms on our kitchen table throughout my childhood, whether picked out of the garden or grabbed from the store on a weekly grocery run, it was clearly apparent from a young age the effect just a small handful of flowers could have on a space.

This carried into my business, where I strive to pick ingredients that people will stop and notice, taking small pleasure in the uniqueness and beauty in the flowers and greenery that aren't seen every day.

 I am usually the hardest working, fastest moving, and silliest person in the room, and while playing with flowers is fun and lovely, a happy, more-than-satisfied client is better. I do not see you as a paycheck and I will not treat you as such. But rather, a potential friend and most definitely someone to over-deliver to so your event is more beautiful than you can imagine. In addition to providing show-stopping florals your guests will actually notice, I will always stay extra long, work extra late, and step out of my job description to make sure your day goes as seamlessly as possible.

After completing degrees in Anthropology and Sociology at University of Washington, I knew that I wanted creativity to always be a part of my daily life while also having the freedom to play and travel on a whim when I wanted.

Having always been a hard worker, understanding that anything can be yours if you are willing to work for it, I wanted to make sure that that effort was going toward something I was passionate about and fully benefitted me and the life I dreamt of living, thus Leah Erickson Floral was born.
